About Rivolver

Some galant efforts, though. West Virginia was probably just a good guitar solo away from Stones-y bliss; Slow Fire maybe needed just a little more time to "get it right tonight." Speaking in Tongues fades in fifteen seconds into the track, but man, Sandy's guitar is so tasty, you just have to feel it. Ocean's Edge almost had a rap on it (for real), and probably got more radio play than any Rivergods' song (as the theme song for Mitchell College). Nan's vocal delivery on Tulsa Queen is the reason many Rivergods' fans are Rivergods' fans.

So here is Rivolver as it stands today… these are the songs that made the most sense of our unreleased material, to me, in an order that is somewhat chronological, and bears some relevance to the band as it evolved and exists today.  I would like to express my gratitude to those who helped me dust off some of these tracks and bring them to light, including Eric Gelfond, Renee Fournier and Jim Carpenter, all past pillars of the band.

I hope you like listening to these tracks– please enjoy as a whole or in parts. As the recovery folks say: “Take what you like and leave the rest.”  I also hope this will suffice for some until we get the stars to align and get the Rivergods back into the recording studio for some new “a-side” material!
